Job interviews nowadays

Currently, we have much new technologies and a wide range of ways to look for a new job.

And how have these new technologies affected today's interviews? Truly, the New Technologies have affected in a direct way and there are numerous possibilities that they offer us. For example, with only the possession of a mobile phone, a computer or any media that has a camera and Internet connection, we can download applications such as Skype and make a video call or video conference, thus allowing us to conduct interviews from anywhere in the world and at any time. Comfort for the candidate and immediacy for the company are fundamental. Not to mention the numerous job portals that exist on the Internet and that allow us to apply for any type of vacancy with just one click. In this sense, LinkedIn comes to mind for all of us, but there are many others that are very interesting, where candidates upload their CVs and the tool makes a search according to their interests. Some of them are capable of analyzing the information on the CV, detecting skills and experience level in seconds! Showing those results that are relevant.

On the other hand, the social conditions and context have also changed. Today, we must be very clear about the qualities that companies are looking for from us. In fact, it's no longer so important what academic background you have (which is) or how many languages you can speak (which is).

What companies are starting to value is the candidate's "soft skills". And you're wondering, what are soft skills? are all those talents that are part of us and that make us know how to lead a group of people, communicate correctly, solve a conflict between colleagues or know how to motivate and perform an active listening. In this way, we bring integrity and added value to the company. In fact, the skills they value most from a professional are:

-              Communication skills.

-              Teamwork.

-              The ability to negotiate, make decisions and resolve conflicts.

-              Time management (planning skills, organization and prioritization of work)

-              Ability to acquire, process and develop information

Fortunately, thanks to Radar we are learning tips of most of them through webinars or SkillPill, for example.

Many of the most important international companies carry out this recognition of skills, which added to a good resume, play a fundamental role in the effective development of the work.

And we all ask ourselves: what will the interviews of the future be like? what other innovative tools will appear along the way? We do not know and we can't predict this, but what we are clear about, is that we live in the moment we live, we will always have to adapt and show that we are the best candidate for the company, presenting the best version of ourselves.
